The fund in Bristol was part of a £1.8m investment and focussed on people most impacted by health inequalities and Covid-19 (which disproportionately impacted on people with poor physical and mental health). As a result a film has been made of the successes achieved with the various Bristol creative health schemes.
“I’ve maintained my mobility and it’s been enhanced. Psychologically it has done me good, because again it’s been about interaction. The combination of dance and art is clever. As time has gone on what I have noticed is, I'm not artistic, but I'm creative!”

There have been a number of successful stories, and tangible life-changing impacts as a direct result of the Thriving Communities project in Bristol.
It brought together a number of different cultural and community providers to explore solutions that would most benefit people's health and wellbeing through creative expression.
